Started out at Crags just before 7. The campground is still closed so cars simply parked all along the road near the gate. The road the the trailhead was clear and fairly easy to get through. I got up to the treeline pretty quickly. I passed a few patches of snow of the way up but nothing has settled on the trail.
Looking up towards the saddle
Treeline to the saddle was clear of snow though there was a nice patch just above the saddle probably about 6in deep.
Beautiful weather and cloud cover in only one direction provided some great views.
Snow snowbanks behind the road caused some postholing but nothing unbearable.
Getting ready for the final pitch
Looking out from the summit. I don't think it got below 45 degrees with some 10-15 mph winds.
Heading back towards Devil's Playground where the temp was back near 60.
Looking back at the Summit
Once we got back below treeline the temp started to climb and the wind died. Great day for climbing. Not too many tourists and cars seen on the way up but it was still early in the day. I couldn't have asked for much better weather as I made it from car to car in about 7 hours and back to the Springs in time for the Pens game!

I started up later than you (about 8:30). Your dog looks vaguely familiar, but I‘m not sure. I was with my beagle. I saw more people heading up as I was going down than I saw going down as I was heading up.
Thanks for the fill in; I run (ahem, I shuffle up) the Devils Playgound trail several times a summer, and I was waiting for the snow to clear out. My pup is too old to go that long, but yours seems to be very happy (a good indicator of the Master‘s state).
Thanks for the report! I‘ve been hoping there‘d be a relatively snow-free 14er, so thanks for sharing the info with us!
