It‘s great to see someone post a report on these two; McCurdy is on my short list for the spring season, and it‘s nice to know what the conditions are right now.

Yes, good words of wisdom Kevin. That would have been miserable without the snowshoes!
Wait a minute, it was miserable with them!!

Bison & McCurdy is a death march in good weather; add postholing to the mix, and it‘s a masochist‘s dream come true. Bison Peak is one of the most memorable summits in Colorado. Thanks for posting!

Nice report, all the same, but I‘m going to wait for less rigorous conditions to get a toehold in the LCW!

That is one heck of a day. Awesome pictures by the way. I am sure I would of gave up after the first peak. I love that area and after seeing you photos I really need to get about out there again soon!!

...means ”long, cold wallow." Nicely done Team Half-Baked - and fantastic photos. Glad you guys found a pleasant, grueling way to enjoy the peaks - sometimes the toughest trips are the most rewarding.
