We were welcomed at the trailhead by beautiful blue skies and a nice warm day. Guess we won't be needing the snowshoes today.

Poles and gators are definitely a good idea though.

We arrived at the summit not having seen a single soul all day. Solitude in the San Juans is so nice!

We tried our best to get in some glissading, but it was only a short thrill.

We were ushered out by some fresh snow just as we got back to the car. Guess it was time to go...

Great day out! We were lucky to bag San Luis on our way to Lake City. The backroads from Stewart Creek to Lake City proved interesting too! Easily done with a passengar car, provided you can find all the turns.

By the way, if you happen to be in Lake City after they close down for season, you won‘t be finding any accomodations after 8PM. If you‘re looking for dinner, check out the Tic Toc Diner.

Cheers!
