 Lindsey from Lily Lake TH

This is going to be short and sweet... my friend and I tried to climb Lindsey yesterday, and the trail was fine all the way up to the summit ridge. There were some areas of snow, but nothing deep at all, so no technical gear/snowshoes needed until this point. But the snow/ice on the north face of the mountain (the last coulouir that leads to the summit via the "standard" class 2 route), where the sun never shone, was just hard and unclimable without crampons/axe (neither of which we had), and so we had to turn around. But all in all it was a wonderful day, met some bighorn sheep, and Blanca/Ellingwood were gorgeous (not too much snow on them either). No pictures, sorry!
