 Gray‘s - Stevens

Quick climb up Gray‘s and Kelso on Saturday.

Drive into Steven‘s TH took 4 wheel drive. There were several very slick spots. (Drive out was an adventure too.)

From TH, the trail had a solid snow cover, but not consistent enough for Snowshoes just yet.

Trail was easy to follow (most of the time). The worst parts of the hike being the occassional knee deep snow.

Wind gusts of 50-70 mph made ridge hiking less desirable, but when the sun finally came out it was a beautiful day.

Route took 6 hours.

Glad to hit the trail before Saturday night‘s snow hit.

Counted 9 fellow hikers enjoying the trail.

I like your report approach - short and sweet. Nice to see you had your dog out with you! Good job.
