 Stay on the new trail!!!

Three other people and I climbed Mount Princeton on 09/03/07. We started at 5:00 a.m. while it was still dark. We were able to watch an incredible sunrise. The climb became difficult because I decided to walk over a small pile of rocks cutting off the old trail, and took the old trail. DO NOT DO THIS. I ended up going up the side of a mountain on a difficult bolder field. At some points the rocks were slipping from underneath me and I thought I would go down. Fortunately, we all made it to the summit for an awesome site. The view was completely breath taking. This was the first 14er for two of our hikers and they made it!!! Mount Princeton is an incredible mountain to climb, it is not horribly difficult (if you stay on the right path) and the reward of climbing it far outweighs the pain of getting to the top.
