 Shavano - East Slopes

Left Broomfield at 3:00am
Arrived at TH at 6:30am
Summited at 11:30am (1/2hr on summit)
Back at TH at 3:00pm
Home for dinner at 6:30pm

I met a nice family at the trailhead and spent the day hiking with them. The 10 and 12 yr old kids beat me to the top but they were great company and were very motivating to keep me moving. It was a long hike but a great trail, awesome views, and nice weather. Although we did hear some thunder on the way down and got a little rain before the sun came back out as we got below treeline.

We thought about Tabeguache but the clouds were building and it looked like a long way off. Besides, I was already extremely tired. I guess it will have to wait.
