 ELBERT - north east ridge

Today we hiked Elbert starting from the North Trailhead around 8:15. We plugged away pretty hard on way the way up and were on the summit in just under 3 hours.

It was a consistantly fairly steep hike. We were excited about our having hiked our first 'teener' of the year and decided to stay on the summit for almost 90 minutes!

On the way down I felt a little queasy, but it subsided by the time we had made it to timberline. Angie apparently took a legendary 3 minute whiz! Cool, huh?

We had a great day and hope to hit some more by the end of the season!

It was great to meet you on the summit. Did the woman from Florida ever make it back to her car?
