Sherman - Standard Route - Fourmile Creek

What a great day to climb! Sunny and warm (a little windy on the summit).

Left Denver at 5:15 and drove to Fairplay. Parked at the Leavick site to extend the climb and get a little more exercise. Started hiking at 7:15 and reached the summit at 9:45. Trail was good with only a few snow crossings that were required. Snow was still firm on the way up.

Began coming down at 10:00am after enjoying a clear day on the peak. Awesome glissade from the saddle and then another after a traverse south to below the upper mine. Back at the car by Noon. Great day to be in mtns!!
