i am from houston and my dad and i were wanting to climb blanca on memorial day. were there any avalanches while you were up there? also this the time for them right? help me out i dont know a lot

If you climb early in the day, and there were freezing temperatures the night before, this will help you alot. Thea avalanches this time of year are mostly wet slides, but i would suspect that by memorial day you will still want your crampons and ice axe, and the knowledge that goes with such tools. If you dont know how to use them, then perhaps you should think about a different peak.
