 Longs Peak - Keyhole

We had a nice trip through the keyhole to Longs this morning and just wanted to post the times and some photos if anybody are interested:

Times: Trailhead: 4am, Keyhole (after a break): 8am, Summit: 9:40am, Departed summit: 10:10am, Keyhole: 11:30am, Trailhead: 2:30pm.

Weather: We had a lot of wind going up to the keyhole, but once on the west side conditions were pretty good. Nice clear view from the summit with the clear weather over the plains and rolling clouds to the west.

Equipment: We brought crampons and ice axes: Both were nice to have, but you could probably still make it in boots.

Trail conditions
Most markings were visible. As you can see from the pics (taken on the way down) there is a bit of snow on the home stretch:

The narrows did have a bit of ice: We used crampons going up, but didn't bother put them on going back down.

The through had a couple of feet of snow: Crampons would probably be a good investment speed-wise.

East face
In case anybody needs an up to date pic of Longs east face:
