 Quandary - East Ridge

Although there was snow in the area on Saturday, 9/16/06, there was less than an inch on the trail at the higher elevations and did not affect hiking. The wind was blowing very hard at the summit and with the temperatures in the teens, the wind chill was definitely below zero. This did not stop the 2 dozen people who hiked today. The only complaint for the day was the person hunting birds above tree line near the trail.
