 Sneffels - South ascent (main)

What a great area. We drove up ‘bird road‘ to the back side of Sneffels.

The waterfalls from the road are in abundance and worth the extra time to see. The TH is well marked and easy to get going. 90% of the trail is great, but you will hate the last 10% (500‘). The rain has really created a dangerous area with loose terrain and falling rocks from other climbers.

I would pay special attention on this climb due to these hazardous conditions. Keep those eye and ears on high alert!

Josh
