 araya‘s first 14er!

left golden at 5:15 a.m. and arrived at Mt. Bierstadt at 6:30 to start araya's first climb of a 14er. we couldn't have asked for a better day to do this, not a cloud in the sky and crisp temps to start the day

. their was a thin layer of ice through the willows, but nothing could stop araya on his quest
Image
. over the creek, up through waist deep snow (for araya), and onto the summit. Their was not a soul in sight for what seemed like hundreds of miles, peaceful as could be, and we soaked it all in for a while
Image
. it was then time to go, sliding down the mountain face first

, and back into by this time, the muddy willows. but that's alright, a bath and a good sleep is all araya needs, knowing that he has conquered his first 14er.
