 7/16 std route

After climbing Crestone Needle in the morning, we headed back to our camp at S. Colony Lakes and after a brief rest headed up Humboldt. The weather wasnt looking great but it seemed to be holding. We made a quick ascent (I think about 2 hours). The trail was wonderfully maintained. I thought this was going to be a boring walkup to a boring pile of rocks but I enjoyed the hike quite a bit. I found the summit block and steep face on the other side quite interesting. Had the summit to ourselves. Views of Crestone Peak and Needle were great. Made it back to camp around 4:30 and the weather held all day - clouds but no storms.
