Up on Yale Saturday the 18th via Denny Creek TH. Took me 3 hours and 21 minutes to get to the summit and only 2 hours 10 minutes down. Ursidae- I must has seen you near 13,500 or so. I was wearing a red TOMAC shirt and a camelback.
Anyway, the trail was really nice to 12,000 then it turns straight uphill. I though it was rather steep and slow going. The trail is good but rather eroided in places. It took at least one and a half to two hours to get from treeline to the rigde at 13,900. There were two snowfields up high that the trail crossed. No gear needed though. I actually hiked up the snow for a long ways rather than on the trail. I though it was easier. Great views from the top and again it was a BEAUTIFUL cloudless day. Hope others got to enjoy the nice weather.
