Climbed Mt. Princeton on Friday, October 21st. We were able to drive up to the towers. About a half mile past the towers most areas of the road had about a foot of snow. My climbing partner and I decided to climb over Tigger Mountain during the ascent to avoid the obvious snow drifts on steep angles. The ridge between Tigger and Princeton was mostly clear of snow with one fairly substantial snow field near the summit.

We decided to descend on the standard route trail. If I had to do this over, I would have just gone back over Tigger mountain. The drifts on the standard trail above tree line were deep with alternating solid snow and weak snow. We both had to arrest small slides during the descent, and the snow seemed unstable due to the solid snow on top of unstable snow. This was a slow-going 8-hour round trip.

Did not see another human being all day!! That is always a privilege.
