Camped at the Blank Cabin trail head on July 5 and went up Shavano and Tabeguache early the next morning (5:00). Trails are in good shape. No snow at all on the way to Shavano; some slight snow (about 50 feet worth) just short of the Tabequache summit. Encountered one big horn, who challenged me for right-of-way on the way up to Shavano (he won).

All told, a good trip: good weather and some nice people encounters on the trail/summit. Round trip time was 9.5 hours, which isnt too bad for this old retiree.
