 Quandary

Went and climbed Quandary this weekend. Did the standard route and it was great. Left Denver at 5:30 A.M. and was hiking by 7:15. Made the peak at 10:30 and then was back to the car by 12:15. Wore my snowshoes the whole way. There was great snowpack so it was worth it to keep them on the whole way. However, on my way down it was a like a train of people who were hiking up to board/ski down. Therefore, I highly recommend going early so you dont get stuck behind other people. The wind was not that bad and I was able to eat at the summit with no problem.

If you really want to maximize your day bring your board and you pass. I headed over to Breck and was on the lift by 1:00. I was able to get 3 solid hours of boarding in.

Overall, I thought Quandary was pretty simple and straight forward. This would be a great peak for a beginner to start on.
