We got a late start around 11:00 am because we summited Antero by moonlight earlier in the morning. The trail was in perfect condition, but clouds were starting to build so we pushed hard up to the saddle. I knew the pace was stiff because no one was talking but we wanted to at least make the saddle before evaluating the weather. After a little more than an hour we were out of the gulch and decided we could push ahead of the weather if we didnt waste any time. We summited at about 12:45 took some pictures and bailed as the clouds moved in. After scrambling down the rocks we hit the saddle and ran the entire way to the car. Signed out at 1:00 p.m, rehydrated in the meadow and the rain began to fall. Thank you rain gods.
