 Collegiate Loop Backpacking Trip

I was itching to get out on a longer backpacking trip. It has been nearly 3 years since I've done a multiday, nearly 5 since an extended trip.

I decided on the Collegiate Loop 161 miles Starting in Maysville on US 50 north to Twin Lakes on the Colorado Trail then south on the CDT/Collegiate West over Monarch Pass, linking back up with the CT. I managed to get rain 5 of 7 but still a good trip considering. I hiked the 161 miles leaving Sunday 7/31/16 at 822AM and finished Saturday 8/6/16 at 206PM traveling self supported and no resupply.
I have the entire trip report and lots of photos at my blog link below.
