 St Charles Peak

Decided on hitting a lower mountain to avoid some snow conditions and settled on St Charles Peak in the Wet Mtns.
If you never been to the Wets, they have some of the best views of the Sangres. St Charles probably has one of the best views in the Wets. Even though the 10-11K mtns near Salida are relatively clear, St Charles was socked in with snow that I wasn't expecting making for some serious postholing on a 70F day in the valley. On a perfect blue sky day, the views were phenomenal ranging from northern NM to the Ten Mile and Mosquitoes. Some fine views of the Crestones area.

That is one I will have to do! And Jim Bishop's Castle is one of my favorite places.
