 Longs Radical Slam

After eyeing this route for a number of years, and this summer especially, I finally got the chance to spend a full day going for the Longs Radical Slam. Seven peaks, 8,000 vert, 17(ish)miles....all in the absolute awesomeness of the park. It was a fantastic day I thought I would share. I also tried to compile some useful maps and route descriptions for anyone looking to do this at any point in the future.

TR Here - The Longs Radical Slam

Also, I owe a special thank you to anyone who has ever posted a TR of this route before - many of you are on this site. I almost guarantee I looked at yours, so thanks for the beta and info. It was really helpful in putting together this day. Cheers!

Awesome job, David! That Pagoda gully is a lot easier to see looking at it from Pagoda! I was the guy who let you borrow the sunscreen. We did the NW couloir that day. Good job getting that death march in 12 hours!

Thanks for all the kinds words everyone. It was definitely a great day out there and I am glad to see that some of the beta will come in handy someday. For anyone eyeing this route, it's definitely a challenge, but also a very, very cool one to take on. Well worth the effort IMHO.
