Very cool     2013-12-04 08:38:17
I remember seeing that shallow gully while climbing up to Skier's Point and traversing to Climber's and then Solitude last summer. Glad you guys were able to pull it off in early season conditions!

Not a 1st Descent, not even close!     2014-01-01 11:37:11
Hate to break it to you but that is far from being a first descent. That line and mountain gets skied at least a few times each season. Been living in this valley for over 30 years and remember skiing that same line, amongst others off solitude back in the early 80s. just because you can't find anything on the internet doesn't mean it hasn't been skied. I know your generation is all about the ”look at me” and ”check out my blog” attitude, but just keep in mind there is a great deal of people who don't post their accomplishments online. In fact, some of the biggest rippers keep things quiet.

Haters Gonna Hate     2014-05-09 06:30:51
OLDvail- You know I had figured that it more than likely had been skied before, as most lines these days have been. It's more of the stoke of skiing a line that I know rarely gets skied and my excitement stemming from it. Yes, I know it was childish to even think of it as possibly being a first descent but I guess its just my ”generation” that has the ambition and drive to share my thoughts and experiences with family and friends. There is no reason to be a smart ass, as this is a small enough community. Although im sure your 30 years in the Vail Valley has taught you that. I will keep posting and blogging my adventures with my ”look at me” and ”check out my blog” attitude, so just do me a favor and don't read it.
