 Standard with variations

Considering the mileage, vert, and 2+ rating, this summit was well earned for the two of us. The rout variations are staying on the lily lake trail until the creek merge, and the standard route scramble to North Lindsey.

Staying on Lily Lake Trail...     2013-06-16 22:58:25
Not a bad idea in spring. Good job.

I'm thinking about doing this one on Saturday. There is less snow up high than I expected. Thanks for posting your photos.

Loving the early season ascent of the North Face of Lindsey -- nice work! Great photos of this scenic route.

Fun alternative!     2013-06-17 21:12:15
This is pretty much exactly what we did! We entered that gully and almost immediately began straight up that ”wall.” It was mostly class III, but there were certainly some committing class IV moves. It was such a blast. Still to this day, that was one of my more memorable climbs. We descended the standard gully and it wasn't too bad then. Nice work!

There was a small section about 50' left. Extra soft, wont last long. I would stay away from the couloirs by any means if not for my four legged friend.

Nice photos.

Did you have need for an ice axe and/or crampons or microspikes on Lindsey when you did it 9 days ago? Looks pretty clear to me, but I wanted to ask. Thanks! ~Sarah

No. However, with all the smoke, you may want an oxygen mask!

How did your dog do in the gully? Obviously made it to the top. My pup is a year old and I'm looking to take her on her 2nd 14er. Just want to make sure she'll be fine doing it. Thanks
