We climbed Mt Massive on 6/9/2013. We arrived around 6 am and it took us around 7 hours on the southwest slopes route. The road was in decent condition, though i definitely recommend a vehicle with clearance. My 4-runner narrowly cleared a few large dips and rocks. After the rock fall section, it was difficult to identify the designated trail and we did not see many cairns or other climbers. Snow was still hanging around at about 12,000 and was hard and slippery in the morning and VERY soggy towards the afternoon. One of us had good climbing boots for snow, and the other two had microspikes that proved very useful. My all-terrain hiking boots left me sliding around a lot. We used our ice axes to climb up much of the snow sections, though like i said, we lost the trail for a bit so we might not have been going the best route up. We glacaded 70% of the way down. Weather was pretty mild at the top just a bit windy as usual. I have added some photos for your reference. Though i apologize, i should have taken more of the route, just thought i should throw something up here since there weren't many trip reports when we were looking last week.
