Drift Left above Copper from East Red a week prior
With intentions of skiing Crystal North on Sat, Tanner and I made a change of plans as I had received a text from Calc that he was going to ski Drift. It was nice to skin to the top of this one and we enjoyed great views and snacks before looking at the SE bowl.We planned to ski SE and the hike back up to ski the classic NW drift line. The SE face was looking pretty saturated so we hopped on the Driftline and enjoyed great powder conditions.

Calc Ripped it top to bottom while me and tanner traversed skiers right to a nice gully
I think it was about 11 when we reached the bottom so we went for another lap

Pacific from Crystal June 28th 2011
On June 28th 2011 Tanner and I skied Peak 10 south to Crystal south east to Pacific, with intentions of skiing the North Couloir. We hiked it but the descent was a bit firm and the crux a bit concave, allowing for only the tips and tails of the skis edge to grab. Needless to say we backed off, and skied tarn bowl over to an inset lookers left of the Maui Chutes. Even on June 28 of 2011 the crux was fatter that when we skied it on May 12 of 2013.
A nice couli we skied after backing off Pacific North 2011

Anyway back on top of Pacific with an approach from the Spruce trailhead we were looking at the type of snow you want for this steep couloir. Now I have to mention that I was not too impressed with Mountain Outfitters who had unsuccessfully tried to replace the faulty pins in my Dynafits. When putting them back together the tech asked what I wanted my DIN’s set at. I replied “10” and thought nothing of it. Well the tech set my lateral DIN at 10 and spaced even setting the forward pressure DIN. Moral of the story never trust the techs at ski shops and it’s your fault if you do.
Adam Brian and Calc check out the North Couloir 2013

There are two options up top, the left option seems to be a bit wider than the right that has a few rocks constricting to shorter than a ski length

Calc Dropped first followed by Brian and myself. A recent strong addition to the crew Adam, who is recovering from some serious foot issues after a ski descent of Denali last year skied the lookers left couloir off the ridge. The snow has been very stable on north aspects with minimal sloughing.
