 Aconcagua - Kristine's Perspective

My wife, Kristine, wanted to write the trip report for our 16 day Aconcagua climb this past December/January and so she went with it and I think she did a great job. Its a tad lengthy (mostly due to all the pics I added - I just love pics), but for those that do read it I hope you enjoy. Furthermore, maybe it can be of some use for those planning their own Aconcagua trip. Again, I apologize for those that do not care for links to personal blogs. Here is the link:

Enjoy!

OK, Brandon - you are officially fired. Kristine will be writing all trip reports and documentaries from now on!

What a well written log of what was a beautiful climb.

Thanks everybody...     2013-03-20 15:28:45
...for the nice comments. Kristine thanks you too. It was a solid trip. Glad it worked out. Means much more when you think you aren't going to make the summit.

apasquel, you said it man. Rule #1 is to never take ourselves too seriously and just try to enjoy it all and be grateful for being able to attempt things like this. The climbing and especially the summitting is only a part of the total experience. Nothing like spending time on big peaks with good friends and/or you spouse, summit or no summit.

...but you are not a Jedi yet.
no, seriously, nice TR and beautiful pics.
And personally I don't think you need to apologize for linking. If peeps don't like it, they don't click it, simple as that.

Wow!     2013-03-22 23:23:35
Congrats Kristine and Brandon! That's amazing that you have been up 6 of the 7 summits together. How many married couples have done the 7 summits together? I'm assuming Vinson would be the finisher? Excellent TR, Kristine!

jbchalk

Thanks Kevin...     2013-03-24 08:25:10
Its been a great adventure together for sure. Not 100% positive on this, but I believe there have been 2 other couples to complete the 7 - the Erschlers and the Gambis. Yep, Vinson for the finale!
