 Perfect Weather on Lindsey

On June 23rd 2012 me, my mom, and my step dad woke up at 5:00AM from our campsite at Lindsey's trail head, and begin to follow the creek with our dogs.

Somehow we got off on the wrong trail and were headed towards the north face of Blanca.

After realizing that we were way off trail my mom and step dad decide to go back and look for the trail and I decided to take an alternate route up a talus gully...

and over a connecting saddle that brought me to a meadow at the base of Lindsey that reminded me a lot of La Plata.

I reconnected with the normal trail and got up to Lindsey's upper part.

I went up the gully on Lindsey and found it to be much easier to stick to the solid rock on the right rather than the nasty scree in the middle.

I got up to the summit, and had a very smokey view due to all the fires around the southwest.

I followed the real trail down the mountain for the descent.

The open meadows around Lindsey were my favorite part of the mountain.

Overall awesome day at Lindsey minus some route finding issues.
