I recently "discovered' Colorado Guy's awesome website. He's got a fun, kind of quirky love for the outdoors. I got a big kick out of his video for the Minnesota State Highpoint, which I am planning on visiting this year. In it he says "at this moment I am the highest person in the state of Minnesota!"
Anyway, Hagues Peak is the highest mountain in Larimer County, and I believe it's also the highest mountain north of Longs Peak in Colorado. I lived in Larimer County for some 20 years, so I figured it was time to stand at the top of Larimer County. I had some free time, I was in Berthoud, so I decided to climb Hagues. While doing research, I discovered that Old Fall River Road was seasonally closed until June 30th, but learned what "Mummy Mania" was. Well, because Chapin Pass access is limited to foot traffic, that was out. Instead I decided that Fairchild, Hagues, Rowe, and Mummy would be a nice little combo- and I would be far away from the Sawatch Range.
This solo trip turned out to be somewhat of a challenge, combining a long approach with a large portion of trail-less hiking, talus-hopping, and scrambling. Hagues Peak is as fun as you want it to be, and Mummy Mountain is an easy climb from the saddle. The exposure on Mummy's West face is daunting. Rowe glacier is a picturesque little side-trip and well worth the time. I decided not to climb Fairchild Mountain while sitting on "the Saddle" which was probably the right decision given the blisters I was dealing with.
Looking down on the sketchy ridge between Hagues and Rowe Peaks. I did NOT take this ridge and I'm glad I didn't attempt it. I'm sure it's been done, but currently you'd want crampons, ice axes, ropes, harnesses, etc.

That is a full day! What a great area of the Park. Too bad you couldn't do all of Mummy Mania, but you got to check out Lawn Lake this way. Nice job getting over to Rowe as well, we skipped that one in favor of Bighorn and Tileston. It's a pretty neat small glacier. Too bad about the blisters, that had to hurt.
