 Sherman, southwest ridge

We got there at about 8 am. The road is easily passable with an SUV. Departed the parking lot at 8:15 am.

There is still a 100' section of snow at around 13,200'. There is a nice path, no need for any special equipment, though some poles do help.

The only snow

We made summit by 10 am. Though it was T shirt weather on the way up, the summit ridge was windy and I needed gloves and all.

Back down we were able to glisade a 200' section. Rocks at the bottom come fast so have a method to slow down. We had our summit beer half way down since it was so windy. Another great hike. This one is real easy, so maybe a class 3 next.
