I got out on Massive today. This TR is mostly for fellow skiers so they can see current conditions. I wore sneakers to treeline because there was a solid freeze overnight. Some snow patches are 4+ ft deep, and would be hellish later in the day w/o skis. Snowshoers seemed to have a difficult time, based off the postholing I observed.

MINIMAL snow above treeline.

I hiked up the mostly dry trail to the summit.

I was actually able to piece together a decent ski line.

I wish there was more snow, but it was still a good day.

”MINIMAL snow above treeline.” Geeee, no way? Arrowhead thinks the snow on Mt. Massive was weak.

Nice work.

Hey, I'm thinking about going up this Saturday, the 13th, and was curious if you've been back this year.
