 Meeker via Copeland Lake/south face

I am adding a link from my website that I mostly use to update family and friends on my hikes. I decided to add this "report" due to the lack of them on this route and mountain in general. Intermittent snow on the trail up to Hunters Creek was packed and bootable I left the trail at Hunters Creek to head to Meeker Meadow. Snowshoes through here would have been most useful on the way out! Above Meeker Meadow ice axe and crampons were not needed. I was able to rock hop my way up to the upper south ridge. I found this route to be similar in difficulty if not harder than the standard route of Meeker's taller neighbor. The link and a few teaser photos: http://thehikingtexan.multiply.com/photos/album/89/Mount_Meeker_13911#

Did Wild Basin earn its namesake? This is a unique route up a classic peak. Good to see the route up close in pictures. Thanks for posting.
