 Pikes via The Craig

Road to TH well packed - even for 2wd cars.

Snowshoes not required, MicroSpikes a good idea.

Minimal snow - the first bowl had some slabby stuff but the lower layers seemed well consolidated in most places. Avy danger - probably minimal.

From the first ridge line and up, completely wind scoured.

Great hike!

Conditions Report     2012-01-29 19:23:55
This should be a conditions report, not a trip report.

Glad you had a great trip up the CRAGS route

Thanks for the update!     2012-01-29 19:26:05
Much appreciated - have been thinking of going after Pikes soon.
Good info and definitely helpful, would be best posted under ”Conditions Reports”

Sorry - I'm a newbe here at this *awesome* site.

I will re-post under ”Conditions Reports”

I'll take the other side...     2012-01-30 07:59:05
Not the other side of Pikes, the other side of the TR argument. A friend wants to do this next weekend. Should have thought to check conditions but the TR page gets checked more often. So, really appreciate it. Could throw in few photos and a little more text, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

In either case, definitely thanks for posting!
