This was my first 14er trip of the summer sence my back surgy on june 8th. I am not suppost to do any crazy hikes so i diceded to go hike some 14ers hahaha. I called up the girlfriend and asked her her plans for tomarrow and she said she wasnt doing anything. So i told her to be ready at 3 a.m. and we were gona go hiking. Next thing ya know 3a.m. we were loaded in the truck and head to kite lakes. We drove a chevy 1500 and it was eassy going road is supper solid, little washboardy but its not bad. Last 100yards or so to the lakes is a little nasty but supprizing some people got some little cars up it. Trail head was packed about 40 or 50 cars we just laughed. Little cold but not bad started to hike around 5 o clock. We crusied on up mad it to the saddle of cameron and bross in about 45min.

As we were headin down then crowds started to show up made it to the saddle wen there was probly about 30 people headin up hahah got to the top of cameron in about 30 mins didnt stay long super windy.

Scence it was so windy we just put are heads down and sorta jogged on over to lincoln and was there in about 10 mins

One more to go head over to bross as we were going over we hunkerd down in some rocks to block the wind and grab some grub. AS you fallow the trail to bross it is posted private property so we did not go up that trail but there is a trail that is not posted privatre property and closed trail so we went up that one. On the summit we ran into a girls group with about 6 girls so we were a little suprised but took are pic and headed down.

Trying to gauge the skree ski

I climbed the NE face of Evans last summer and found it to be really, really loose. My old knees hurt for days after. Have you done this route and if so, how dose it compare with the skree skiing off Bross?

Skree Ski Bross

I have not done the ne face on evans but lookin at the pics of that route on this website i would have to say the bross skree ski is worse. Wen we did it the skree is so loose and fine that your feet sink down about 4inchs into it and then you just sorta slide down 10feet in some parts. there is a trail off the top that is pretty solid but then going into the gully it gets pretty nasty.
hope that helps good luck

If you look at (bross - west slope trail photos 8-11 on this website)this is where the really bad skree is wat i was talkin about skiing. there is really no trail through that part but then everything else is a solid trail
