 Bierstadt

Left Denver at 4:30am and got on the TH around sunrise. Not a lot of traffic, but it was really cold! 44degrees is what the thermo said. The boardwalk was great but a wrong step and the dog was soaked.

I took three first-timers so our pace was kind of slow but we managed to summit by 8:30. It was terribly windy at the top and as everyone but tw dog and I were wiped out we opted out of the sawtooth and Evans.

It was a great day, awesome weather, and acceptable company. By the time we got down, the mountain was packed, so glad we started early.

Thanks to the guy and gal at the summit for the cliff bar. Made my day!

Did you come up from Grant? Did you wait for a pilot car? Just wondering, as I'd like to make the same hike friday. Thanks!

I took 70w to Georgetown and then up past Guanella pass to clear lake. A little dirt bit misty good roads.
