 Decalibron- Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bross

My GPS Tracks on Google Maps (made from a .GPX file upload):

I don't know why it won't let me enter multiple peaks...but we did all four.

Starting Time: 10:45am
Ending Time: 3:00pm
Trailhead: Kite Lake
Peaks climbed: Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bross in that order

We got a rather late start on the trail but it was fine. Drove Brad's little Hyundai sports car
most of the way up the Kite Lake road which was impressive. A beautiful weather day- sunny
and warm. Headed up Democrat after crossing a stream near Kite Lake, shoes got a little wet. Ascended rather quickly, passing through a few minor snowfields, but they should be gone soon if this warm weather keeps up.

Reached the saddle between Cameron and Democrat and went up to Democrat first. Their is a trail the whole way to Democrat which is really nice, but it is pretty loose at times and a little frustrating. Passed several family groups out for the day. After crossing another snowfield we gained the summit after a short climb. Incredible views, not very exposed but impressive still.

Took some pics then headed on down to the saddle and up to Cameron. Kicked it into another gear and reached Cameron about 30 minutes after we summited Democrat. Felt like we were on the moon on top of Cameron. Very barren and flat on top. Ate some snacks then continued onto Lincoln after taking photos for a family. Lost a little elevation then regained it going up to Lincoln. This was my favorite summit because of the fantastic views of Quandary and Northstar. The summit registers on these peaks were pathetic, very crumpled nasty paper with no room for anyone else to sign.

Took the road/trail on over to Bross and made good time. Bross is a pretty lame summit, very flat and barren like Cameron but does provide a good view of the entire traverse. Descended down the very loose, rocky trail and into the meadows near Kite Lake. Stuck our heads in a snowmelt fed stream then gratefully got in the car and headed back home.

Great day in the mountains!
