CPA Combination nice off trail 2+ hiking!

Jim and I left Denver in the hopes of attaining a high camp near the mayflower trailhead. We got .3 miles off of Hwy 91 and were stopped by mutiple snowfields we just decided to camp there. We started hiking at 5am and were on mayflower hill at sunrise.

On the scramble down off Mayflower hill I stepped on a medium sized rock which slid and caused a Fridge sized rock to tip over. I jumped out of the way and only got scrached but it was a big mean rock that fell hard!

The view of the notch from Pacific peak was stark and the traverse between the two the only real exposure of the hike.
