7/4/2025 Posted On: 7/7/2025 By: mdra90 Info: A couple medium sized ruts shortly after you leave the county-maintained portion of the road, then its nothing but small potholes after that. Easily passable in any vehicle with decent ground clearance. I did see a stock WRX up the road so it is possible to get past the ruts if you know what you are doing in a low clearance vehicle. | 1 |

6/25/2025 Posted On: 6/26/2025 By: brian4328937 Info: Two semi rutted out spots 3.5 miles from TH. I easily got through in a Nissan Rogue. A small parking spot for 2 cars if you can't make it, but any car with a little clearance should be fine. If you can make it past that, you can definitely make it all the way to the TH, road almost seemed to get better the farther you went. Some potholes and ruts along the way but easily avoidable. There is a restroom 1.5 miles before the TH, no restroom at this trailhead! | 1 |

4/29/2025 Posted On: 4/30/2025 By: BillMiddlebrook Info: OPEN! A couple of snow banks immediately before the trailhead loop but no problems getting past. No porta-potties yet and I don’t know if they will place any at the trailhead this summer. | 1 |

11/23/2024 Posted On: 11/23/2024 By: bigfoot1 Info: Ok so I didn't make it up here, but as I was walking the road back, a GMC SUV said they were able to make it within 300-400 ft of the trailhead, and the pickup behind them was able to make it up all the way after they put chains on their tires. GMC driver said chains were necessary. | 2 |

11/2/2024 Posted On: 11/2/2024 By: bigfoot1 Info: 5 large trucks/suvs around 9am, 6 vehicles around 3pm. no snow at all on road
10/25/2024 Posted On: 10/25/2024 By: wanderlust073 Info: Road is clear and dry end to end. Couple ruts that would probably be bad for a car. No port-o-potty's at the TH.
9/6/2024 Posted On: 9/6/2024 By: bigfoot1 Info: Unable to make it to trailhead at all with a 3.5" clearance car. Scraped bottom twice right after the road changes to a forest service road and had to turn around. I don't think any car with less than 6" clearance will make it over the ruts without bottoming out.
7/23/2024 Posted On: 7/23/2024 By: hsfedina Info: Trailhead great. Easy to get there in Mazda cx-5no problems. Plenty of parking.
7/13/2024 Posted On: 7/15/2024 By: Jonny41Goodbyes Info: Trailhead is in great shape, the drive up took no more than 25 minutes from the start of the dirt road in my Xterra...should be able to make it up in any car though. Just a few holes to watch out for. Get there early as it was packed when we arrived at 5:10 am.
4/25/2024 Posted On: 4/25/2024 By: jmanner Info: Road is almost clear to within a half mile of the trailhead, theres a long patch of snow about 1.2-1 mile from the upper trailhead but someone drove through it and its probably accessible for 4WD vehicles now.
4/21/2024 Posted On: 4/21/2024 By: Levi L4 Info: Driveable to the silver Creek th by basically any car (maybe one snow patch it's nice to have like 6 or 7 inches of clearance). Not really driveable much farther in basically any car and no good pull out point | 2 |

10/21/2023 Posted On: 10/22/2023 By: brchristensen Info: Dirt road is in fair condition overall. Occasional potholes but a 2WD could handle easily. No snow or ice.
9/9/2023 Posted On: 9/11/2023 By: enoki Info: Road not bad at all. Worst part was the right hand turn into the parking area (which is avoidable by just going left instead) Still 2 port-a-potties, but both were close to their usable limit. Not sure how often they get serviced or what periods of the year they're up there.
9/8/2023 Posted On: 9/13/2023 By: hatterasdunton Info: Definitely drivable in a low clearance 2WD as long as you are comfortable navigating slowly
6/17/2023 Posted On: 6/17/2023 By: Logan5280 Info: Snow free to trailhead. My very low-clearance 2wd prius made it up there with minimal trouble. It's slightly muddy from recent rain, but not bad at all. |
