Info: Drove a stock Outback Wilderness to the TH, saw a few other Subarus there which were not wilderness trim.

Creek crossing was fine, mud section right before the crossing is the crux of the drive. Photo taken on the way back, we kept right (left if going to the TH) and didnt have any problems.

Portapotty at the trailhead is pleasant potty, clean and had plenty of toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Info: The previously mentioned muddy section just before Big Bear Creek is still there and the creek itself is probably at 5-6 inches deep. I only saw 4wd vehicles past those two obstacles. I did not like my chances in a Rav4 and parked on the road before the creek and mud.

Info: Be weary of mud/really soft ground near Big Bear Creek. If you don't have 4WD, I recommend stopping ~1.5 to 2 miles before the TH to avoid getting stuck. After hours of trying to get unstuck I eventually had to get my rental minivan towed out (-$500) and another group got their van stuck (a first for me, still feeling pretty dumb for getting in that predicament!). Tow truck guy said people get stuck there all the time.

Shout out to Jake the firefighter and Lee Ann as well as the Moab conservation group for all your help trying to get me unstuck! Yall the real MVPs!

Info: We were able to drive to 9800. Might be able to get a little farther (.1mi) in something huge and with chains, but that was it for the stock 4runner. It was intermittent snow (but mostly snow) on the 3mi to the TH, and then continuous snow from there up into Silver Pick. Snow was mostly firm, even in the afternoon sun... Pic is of the TH parking lot.

Info: Road becomes impassable at 9100ft, shortly after the Silverpick/60M/622 road junction. Appears to be continuous snow after that point. Unless it gets plowed, I wouldn't expect it to melt out past this point for a couple weeks.

Info: I only drove 6 of the 8.5 miles from the Hwy 145 sharp turn-off. I thought the lower road was in excellent, fast condition. As you drive-up past a few ranches ~5-6 miles in, the road gets a bit rocky, rough, & slow-going but no major ruts or wash-outs. I did not continue it to Big Bear Creek, so unfortunately no beta on the water level

Extra background info. -- I drove into Telluride on Tuesday & the Wilson Group were shrouded in heavy, dark storm clouds all afternoon & evening. I opted to take a rest day & evaluate conditions on Wednesday. Set my sights on a potential summit bid for Thurs. During the drive-in (Thurs. morning) I could see a lot of snow up near the summit & false summit saddle. Out of concern for snow & ice on that Class 3 summit scramble, I made a tough decision to re-schedule the hike.

Info: Creek was 3-4" deep after a heavy rainstorm on Saturday afternoon. No issues in a 2wd Hyundai Tucson (6.8" of clearance). There are some deep ruts in the quarter mile before and after the creek crossing that could pose a challenge to anything with lower clearance if you get your wheels stuck in them. I was able to straddle them without any issue, but a guy in an F150 said he managed to get stuck at one point.

Otherwise, it's just a rocky dirt road without too many issues. Know your car's and your driver's limits.

Info: Water in the creek is at what I assume is normal summer levels, making this road easily Suburuable. Otherwise easy as dirt roads go, though didnt see any sedans at the TH and would not recommend the owner/renter of one trying to get there.

Info: Don't agree with the 3 rating. Comparable to Kilpacker, actually Kilpacker has some deeper holes. 4wd not needed. Creek crossing might be the reason for the 3 but it wasn't that bad.

Info: Made it to a campsite just above the FR 645 junction in a Kia K5 rental (my car is in the shop for the month). Road gets a bit rougher after that and I wouldnt trust taking the sedan any further; I got a ride to the trailhead from my hiking buddies. A better parking spot for sedans is at that FR 645 junction, theres room for a few cars. The creek crossing later is probably 5 deep and seems smooth.

Info: Road blocked by intermittent snow shortly past the junction at 10.1k, well before Big Bear Creek. It'll likely melt fast, though, but once it does there will still be a lot of small downed trees to contend with. Big hand saw or small chainsaw might go a long way.

Info: Dry to 9,800' - about 3.25 miles from the summer TH. Patchy snow drifts for another 1/4 mile that I did not attempt to drive through, then continuous snow the rest of the way to the TH.

Info: El Diente Luttrell Line: 5/9/23. Drivable to about 9,700 feet then started skinning about 1/4 mile further. Will likely be melted out up to 10,000 ft road intersection within a week. Skied pow off the summit around 9:45 and crossed the Fox soon after. Perfect timing for that upper section. Bottom half of the NW couloir was still very frozen. Would have take a few more hours to soften up. Great coverage throughout the route.

Info: Trailhead and peak conditions report for Wilson Peak via Silver Pick approach and NE face 4/30/23.
Road is dry to 9,173 then good snow coverage rest of the way up. A few small spots will be melting dry and getting larger within the first 2 miles or so but otherwise good skinning all the way to Wilsons SW ridge. NE face is fading with a lot of exposed sidestepping from the top. The main couloir is sharky but still skiable. The exit chutes are starting to close out and definitely recommend getting eyes on those from Silver Pick Road before committing to the decent.

Info: Creek crossing minimal. Some deep ruts driving in but easy to avoid.
Big parking area - front-in parking only.

A few dispersed, marked campsites along the road in.

Portapotties are tipped over and not usable.
