Info: Peru Creek Rd is dry/passable till 4.3 miles from the gate. After that a significant snowfield crosses the meadow. Dont go beyond the split with 262 if uncomfortable with a 3 pt turn, or have the clearance to back up for a long ways. Had to convince a Jeep Wrangler to turn around, since I wasnt backing the Subi down the rough road! Theres enough room for it right at the start of the snow. Will likely melt more before the next weekend.

Info: I was the last spot around 1-2PM. 2wd capable, I personally wouldn't. Limited dispersed camping & easy in a truck

Info: A lot of holes to dodge, and a tad rocky at times, but nothing terrible. Easily done in a crossover-type vehicle, and there were even a couple mid-clearance sedans at/near the TH that made it fine.

Info: was able to drive to the Leavenworth Mine without issue, but did not attempt past there, as the east faces of Edwards and Argentine are still holding snowfields.

Info: Drove a bit past Chihuahua Gulch, then turned around. In a Subaru Outback it was a bit scary because the road was very icy and we were sliding quite a bit. Tires were not new but not bald either. Not sure when they close the gate at the winter TH but based on conditions expect it to be soon.

Info: Snow sticking and prevalent in parts. Acura SUV did just fine all the way to the parking lot/mine area. Saw an older Outback up there as we were leaving. Good traction is all you should need for now though.

Info: As of sunday snow is sticking on about 50% of the road. Still okay in a passenger vehicle as long as you have good traction, next storm will definitely change this

Info: Dry, summer conditions. Some dips but nothing major. Made it all the way to top of th in a Honda HRV, 2wd manual transmission.

Info: All clear and ready to go! The last mile up to Argentine Pass TH proper is the roughest - any car with clearance will make it just fine but I'd be worried about a sedan, however it's all about the driver, so go at your own risk. The rest of the road is a typical dirt road but in pretty good condition. Some large puddles to go through but nothing too deep.

Info: The road is now open all of the way to the trailhead at the gate. Avalanche areas all cleared. 4WD with clearance makes it easy drive. Rains yesterday made it a bit more bumpy with exposed rocks on the way down compared to the way up earlier that day.

Info: To give an update from CheapCigarMan's post on 6/11 - I called the Dillon Ranger District office (970-468-5400) today, and the road is closed and will be for some time. It's in the plans to fix it but there's all sorts of damage - avalanche debris, power lines down, road cracks, etc - that will take a lot of time to fix. They're still working on the plans. If you want to get up there, you'll have to park below and add the extra mileage.

Info: 4wd road is clear of snow all the way to the waldorf mine, but the rest of Argentine pass is mostly buried in steep snow. Road is doable in a subaru outback, although a handful of small trenches across the road had me scraping underneath the front of the car. No major damage but higher clearence would have helped. Traction needed for climbing or descending the steep snow drifts over the road past the mine.
