Drive to the intersection of U.S. 285 and U.S. 50 in Poncha Springs. Go west on U.S. 50 for 6 miles and turn right on County Road (CR) 240. After 3 miles, CR 240 turns to dirt. Continue 0.6 mile to the Angel of Shavano trailhead on the right.

This is ranked properly. Easily accessible in any car (2012 Honda Fit). It's pavement that turns into a very nice dirt road that has no real issues. Do not confuse this trailhead with Shavano/Tabeguache Trailhead: https://www.14ers.com/php14ers/trailheadsview.php?thparm=sw14
