Followed Brent‘s tire tracks to the same point shy of the Leavick mine. There‘s conveniently a little pullout before the road gets a little steeper, which is also where the snow got deeper and my AWD Forester with AT tires had trouble. The picture focuses on scenery, but shows a bit of the parking job. The tire tracks pack the snow about 6 to 8 inches deeper than the surrounding snow. A smaller AWD car should be able to get up to that point too. Past the steep point, it looks to get easier, so full snow tires could make it another mile to about 11,500.
