Although gated one can easily drive around the gate an make it a few hundred yards from the grizzly TH bathrooms in a subaru

Did you climb any of the peaks around there? How was the snow coverage? Worth bringing snowshoes? I've heard the lake city area hasn't received much snow.

Did you happen to drive over to the Cataract Gulch TH closure? What are conditions like? Planning on getting the Jones Group this weekend and any beta or pictures would be really helpful.

south aspects are pretty dry but snow is iso below tree line. snow shoes would be handy up silver creek, handies etc.

Geojed mentioned you attempted Redcloud last weekend. Could you provide any more information on the trail conditions? Do you think snowshoes are necessary, or would I be fine with microspikes? Are there any snowfields or gullies to cross that might require an ice axe to self arrest? Although CAIC has called for a low danger in the San Juans, did you happen to notice any potentially sketchy areas that might put hikers in an avy path? Also, would you recommend staying away from the route straight up/down Sunshine (not the traverse)?
