2015-07-17  Route: South Slopes
Info: The White Ridge/Sherman/Sheridan/Peerless/Horseshoe/Finnback loop still has some snow along the route, but it can all be avoided easily.

2015-05-30  Route: South Slopes
Info: We climbed Horseshoe Mtn (via the Boudoir--cf. CR from 30 May 2015) and traversed to Peerless. Snow was crusty on the approach and windswept on the saddle--no snowshoes required before 10 AM. After glissading into the basin, we started postholing in soft snow and were thankful that we hauled up our snowshoes. Road snowed in to about 1.25 miles before Leavick.

2012-11-03  Route: West side
Info: Hiked to and up side of the Amphitheater. On way, crossed creek a few times, but you can pick your place. Ice on creek crossings was thin enough to break through, so stick to sides where possible. Snow in small patches, about mid-shin deep. Trail is good all the way back to amphitheater. When ascending amphitheater, trail gets faint in a few places, but keep looking ahead and you‘ll be able to pick it up. Views at top are awesome. We brought gaiters and spikes, but didn‘t need them. Being new to this area, didn‘t realize (but it makes total sense) that there is hunting in the area. We were dressed in bright colors and didn‘t see any hunters until back near trailhead. We took our Jeep to the treeline so we were fully exposed whole hike except few times navigating willows (real short). Will do a little extra research on the areas open for hunting next time :-) ! Great day though, even though it was below zero with the wind chill!
