Ascent from Avalanche Gulch, started a bit later than desired ~0545. Trail in good condition, no snow throughout. Extra layers at the saddle, but good weather. Spectacular route with many pikas, marmots, and even some ptarmigans. 10+hrs but this was our first 14er. |
