There is a lot of snow up in them there hills right now. Sheridan has enough windblown areas with exposed rock that you
almost avoid the deep snow all the way from the mine at the top of Fourmile Creek Rd. ( where the gate is ) to the top
of its summit.

Sherman is totally packed with the white stuff and the summer route to get up the southwest ridge is totally filled with
snow. The cornice between Sheridan and Sherman is epic right now as well. The southwest ridge itself looked windblown as
far as I could see from the top of Sheridan.

A way around the cornice

Is it possible to get around the cornice? I want to do Sherman and was thinking of heading over that way in a few weeks.

If the snow slows down around here you should be fine going up either of the summer routes. The ridge from Sheridan to Sherman looked wind swept on the North Western side of the ridge and totally accessible.
