 Report

Clear going 1st mile or so on CO trail, 2nd mile highly drifted but enough traffic that paths are being worn through the drifts. 3rd mile some drifts. Needed snowshoes on the way up this part of the trail on 6/8 but not on the way back 6/9. At point where Mt Massive trail splits from CO trail, there is some drifting, snowshoes needed on way up but we found our way down and avoided most deep snow. We camped at about 11,500. Above camp, snowshoes needed for quite a while until somewhere above 12,400. No snowshoes needed beyond that point to summit (but there was hard snow in places). Photo 1 about 11,700. Photo 2 about 11,900. Photo 3 about 12,600. Photo 4 heading down to saddle from summit. Road to trailhead in good condition, was being graded on 6/8.
