 Report

Winter closure at Clear Creek Ranch where sign says 8 miles to Winfield.
Drove a half mile past this sign and got stuck. Spent an hour and a half digging out.
Firm snow and snowmobile tracks on road to Winfield. Sled and ski tracks to the gate at
10,600 thanks to Grimpeur and Josh on their ascent of North Apostle. Snowshoe trench
up Huron. I will post a trip report in the near future.

how long would you say the RT hike was? I'm looking at knocking out some sawatchers this week and might give Huron a go.

At least it was for me, but I'm not a fast hiker. I started at about 6:45 AM and finished at 3 AM the next morning. It took me about 20 hours. It's a 24 mile trip. I pulled a sled and used light skis to 10,600 at the gate. Then I switched to snowshoes for the rest.

Yikes

I thought you were done for the Winter. You are supposed to be on the couch resting and eating pizza.

I had a chance to get out of work on Wednesday so I went for a shoe horn of Huron on the last day of winter
