Road to trail head almost snow free. 4 - 5 feet of soft snow in the trees.

4 to 5 feet of snow in the trees meaning along the trail? So snow shoes definitely needed if I were to go next weekend? Also, was gonna take my dog... did you take the standard class 2+ route? Lastly, roughly how close to the TH could you make it before snow blocked the way? Sorry for so many questions but the help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, yes, Don't take the dog, .5 miles, we were able to jump over the creek.

that was the last picture I took. It was so windy my dog almost was blown of the saddle, so we called it a day. Thinking about reattempting this Sunday.
